Parmeter’s Cazadero King Ridge Vineyard is 1,800 feet above sea level, in far north-western Sonoma County. The elevation, mountainous terrain and proximity to the Pacific Ocean offers the perfect mix of sunshine, cool air and beneficial stress for Pinot Noir to thrive.
Really pretty color, light with brick red hues, nose of crushed violets, red currants, black tea leaves, really pretty minerality on the palate with gentle tannins and lingering acidity.

A two-time double-gold-winning wine, along with a few other single golds, Fairfax’s Frank and Ronita Egger have a real gem here. Red fruit nuance (raspberries and currants) creates a delicate yet strong fruit-forward base further supported by 14.4% alcohol and 100% French oak, which give this wine plenty of backbone — plenty enough for lamb or brisket for sure. Handpicked, all natural, native wild yeasts and “sustainably produced” hit all the proper buzzwords. And being unfined and unfiltered leaves you plenty to talk about when the wine is gone.

Long live pinot noir, the “wine of kings”
Produced by longtime Fairfax couple Frank and Ronita Egger in Healdsburg (although technically their home in Fairfax is both a bonded and licensed winery) this wine dances with red fruit elegance. Not an overt punch in the face, but more Burgundian “sweet science.” Red raspberry, strawberry and red currant all pirouette delicately with a bright minerality and soft tannins. It’s light brick-red color is lovely and its 14.5% alcohol adds to the easy drinkability. Good with food wouldn’t do it justice. More like great with food. In fact, you probably could just skip the food. Discounts are offered on mix and match cases, and it is widely available at specialty markets throughout the county.
